Sometimes it’s more pleasant for people to talk about something when they can choose who can answer!
Twitter has introduced the possibility of limiting the number of people who can respond to tweets, ie limiting the number of comments. This option is now available to all users of this social network.
Susan Xi, director of product management at Twitter, said the option was part of a plan to give people more control over their own posts on the platform.

“Sometimes it’s more pleasant for people to talk about something when they can choose who can answer,” Xi said, adding that Twitter saw how people could use settings during conversations in a way that was not possible before.
Everyone will be able to use these settings so that unwanted comments are not in the way of a meaningful conversation – Xi explained.
To be able to use this novelty, Twitter users only need to write the desired post and then select one of the options to respond to it: all (standard option), only those that the user follows or only those that the user mentioned in the tweet.
When the user selects one of the options that limit the answer, the answer option will be limited for all those who cannot comment.
However, despite not being able to participate in the conversation, users still have opportunities to share and like.
